About Touched 100 Years by Song Dong
Water is the origin of life, the mirror of freedom. It is boundless in form and shape by nature, but tend to be molded by external forces. It can be easily constrained and controlled by objects like a riverbed, a utensil or a table; however, once losing temper, it may soar into the sky and swallow up the land. Is water a fortune or misfortune?
The transience of water is just like the impermanence of life. The seemingly lengthy span of 100 years is in fact a twinkle of eye - It feels both real and unreal when reflected upon the water, and both tangible and intangible at the same time, as the reflections disappear when being touched, and all the heroes with the history fade away. Yet it re-appear as hands are withdrawn, and we can’t help but wonder where will the water take us?
